2-1-1 is service of United Way of Greater Cincinnati. It is an easy to remember 3 digit telephone number that connects people with critical health & human services and volunteer opportunities in their community on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis.
How Does United Way 2-1-1 Helps callers?
Trained call specialists provide information & referrals on a range of issues and needs such as day care, employment resources, health care, transportation, mentoring, tutoring, substance abuse, domestic violence, protective services and much more.
Is my call to United Way 2-1-1 free and confidential?
2-1-1 services are absolutely free and each call is completely confidential. Our call specialists will ask basic information such as age, zip code, etc in order to provide appropriate referrals. This information is used only for aggregate reporting.
What are the most frequently requested calls?
Some of the most frequently requested calls are regarding basic needs such as food assistance, housing/homeless shelter information, utility & rent payment assistance, legal assistance, health services information etc.
