SERVICE DESCRIPTION:Provides emergency financial assistance to families who meet the eligibility requirements. Employment support includes clothing expenses up to $200 to obtain or retain employment (appropriate work clothes). Job-related expenses up to $500 for tools, safety equipment, short-term education expenses, and job support services. PRC total amount is $2,000.00.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:No face to face interviews on Wednesdays. Applications may be submitted on Wednesdays, urgent need will be determined at time application is completed. Must call the office or apply in person to determine eligibility for assistance. Application processing time normally 10 days.

FEES:None.

ELIGIBILITY:Must be the primary custodian or legal guardian of at least one minor child. Must be employed. Sixty (60) day residence requirement. Household income within 200% of federal poverty guidelines.

HOURS:Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH:International Service Center acts as a clearinghouse for interpreters; two Spanish speaking individuals on staff in office.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:Will be requested as needed.
