Farm Tours
Programs that offer guided tours which expose participants to the sights, sounds, smells and feel of life on an operating farm with the objective of creating a better understanding and appreciation of farm life. Farm features usually include a variety of domestic animals, a vegetable garden, crop fields and farm equipment. Tours allow individuals to observe and sometimes participate in regular farm activities such as cow milking, sheep shearing and wool processing. Also included are horse farms where thoroughbreds, Arabians, morgans and other types of horses are bred, raised and trained; dairy farms; and experimental farms which offer tours.
